2. Holy war against Infidels

4. Avoiding the company of Atheists

Bhishma said, ‘Listen to me, O Yudhishthira, as I speak to you, in detail, of those men with whom friendships may be formed and those with whom friendships may not be formed…one that is an atheist, one that is a slanderer of the Vedas…” (source)

A person who knows Dharma should not offer even water to an atheist or a heretic or to a sceptic or to a person who does not know the Vedas.” (source)
📚Brahmanda Purana 3.14.43📚
One shall discard the very sight of these viz—the Brāhmaṇa slayer, the ungrateful one, the atheist, the defiler of the preceptor’s bed, the robber and the ruthless person.” (source)

5. Getting martyred in a Holy war in order to attain Heaven (Swarg)

6. Hell for Atheists and Non-believers

Thus, succinctly and in accordance with their importance these Tīrthas have been recounted to you. O son of Pāṇḍu, no one is competent to enumerate in detail all the Tīrthas. This river Narmadā is sacred and pure. It is well-known in all the three worlds. She is the most excellent of all the rivers, and a favourite of Mahādeva. If anyone always remembers mentally and reflects on Narmaḍā, O king, he obtains quickly the excellent benefit of a hundred Cāṇḍrayaṇas. Persons who have no faith, those who are atheists fall into the terrible Naraka. So said Parameśvara.” (source)

📚Kurma Purana 1.12.259-261📚
The hells such as Tamisra and others were created beneath the earth by god Brahma for those people who do not practise the duties prescribed in my Dharma. There is no scripture other than the Vedas which lays down what is Dharma. A person who takes delight in other things (not sanctioned by the Vedas), should not even talked to by twice-born persons viz. Brahmanas, Ksatriyas and Vaisyas. Those various scriptures which are contrary to Srutis and Smrtis seen in this world, are based on Tamo-guna or ignorance. Belief in them or practising in accordance with them is a Tamasa activity.” (source)

That man who, through lust or delusion, gives up the act proper for his family or country, and would do something else, goes to hell. A man who worships what should not be worshipped, and does not worship what should be worshipped, and is disinterested in the knowledge about Viṣṇu, suffers in many hells.” (source)

7. Punishment for Atheists

It is an exact state of the case that a mere intellection deserves to be punished as it were a thief and know an atheist to be on par with a mere intellectual. Therefore he is the most suspectable and should be punished in the interest of the people. In no case should a wise man consort with an atheist.” (source)
8. Atheism = Adharma

Visnu should be considered as Rudra and Lakshmi as Gauri. He who speaks of difference between them is lowly (Adhama) and should be considered an atheist outside the field of dharma.” (source)
Since blasphaming of the Vedas is considered Adharma (unrighteousness), the below verse (Shrimad Bhagavatam 4.2.30) attempts to equate blaspheming of the Vedas with Atheism. Therefore, it can be understood that Atheism is synonymous with Adharma (unrighteousness).

9. Atheists are barred from learning

Thus, O excellent sages, the great Liberation, the essences, has been recounted by me. On realising it one does not return. It should not be imparted to an atheist or to a person who is not a devotee. O brahmins, it should not be imparted to an evil-minded person nor to a person who has no faith and who is averse to everything good.” (source)

This hymn is conducive to wealth. It dispels sins. It is auspicious. It bestows worldly pleasures and salvation. It is a rare esoteric secret. It is sacred. It should not be imparted to any one and everyone. It should not be imparted to an atheist, a fool, an ungrateful person, an arrogant or to one of wicked intellect. 10. Infidels cannot act as witnesses

11. No Moksha/Salvation for Atheists

Fools deride Me when I descend in the human form. They do not know My transcendental nature as the Supreme Lord of all that be. Those who are thus bewildered are attracted by demonic and atheistic views.
